We had decided that we were going to do an extended weekend trip down to Disney to enjoy some fun in the sun. We left after work on Thursday and drove down to Savannah, GA before calling it a night. On Friday we woke up and headed downstairs for breakfast before getting back on the road. One thing Paige always tries to make sure I get when we first get to Orlando is Bahama Breeze so once we were in town we swung by there for lunch (Calypso Shrimp is absolute best). Since technically we were not supposed to check in yet we decided to get in a little shopping at the outlet stores. They were not kidding as we got some really really good deals while we were there. Once we were done shopping it was time to head onto Disney property and make our way to our resort for the weekend, Yacht Club. We had never stayed here but because of the pool it has been one on our list that we wanted to stay at. Absolutely beautiful and we absolutely love the resort. As we walk into our room we notice this beautiful water view of the Boardwalk. We put our stuff away and then head out to get the grocery shopping done so off to Super Target. We decide to go ahead and get a quick dinner at our favorite pizza place before heading back for swimming. On our way back to the hotel the bottom falls out of the clouds and it pours down rain. The rain clears up but it continues to lightning so they will not open the pools so we just walk around and use this time to check out the resort. Finally the pools open so we get to get some swimming in before calling it a night and heading upstairs for bed. While in the pool we get to see the Epcot fireworks and then once we were in the room we could see the Hollywood Studios fireworks from our balcony. Time for bed but really looking forward to tomorrow!
