Wilmington - Day 2!!!

We woke up this morning and headed downstairs to get breakfast.  Samantha absolutely loves hotel breakfast.  The weather forecast had called for rain showers this morning so we had decided today we would do the NC Aquarium, so off to Fort Fisher we went.  The aquarium was smaller than the Georgia Aquarium but was still a lot of fun.  Samantha's favorite was the Stingrays and touching the smaller stingrays and sharks.  After the aquarium we drove around Fort Fisher, Kure Beach, & Carolina Beach.  Samantha absolutely loves the beach resident's taste in colors...some of the house colors while different really have that beach feel.  It was time for lunch and we had heard that there was a wonderful Mexican restaurant at Wrightsville Beach so off we go.  When we get there it looks like a dive but the place has a 45 minute wait.  Well worth the wait; the food was very good.  After lunch Samantha wanted to go play on the beach a little prior to heading back to hotel.  When we got to the hotel and looked out our room window you could see a wedding going on, Samantha watched the entire thing and gave us play by play.  It was time to head downtown for some shopping and walking around.  We decided to go on the horse & carriage ride with the Easter bunny horses we had seen yesterday.  Then off for a little more shopping prior to heading to dinner.  We chose Elijah's which had a mad low country boil as well as a beautiful sunset.  After dinner we were going to walk around a little and then head home to get some sleep when Samantha says, anyone want ice-cream, to which Paige and I started laughing.  Back to the hotel to watch a little tv prior to calling it a night.  Such a fun weekend trip!!!
