Epcot and Princess Storybook Breakfast!!!
Let me just start out today's blog with Samantha has one of the best mom's a kid could ever ask for. When it comes to planning trips, I pretty much show up and ask what we are doing. Paige is checking, planning, and checking again trying to make sure everything is perfect and yesterday I was impressed. We show up prior to the park opening because like yesterday at Hollywood Studios; Soaring is the ride that everyone wants to ride at Epcot. Disney has it figured out, they have what they call Baby swap; Paige and I walk through the line to get to the ride and then we tell the worker that we would like to do baby swap on this ride. He hands me a ticket and points me in a direction of where I can sit (yep a waiting area) and tells Paige to go enjoy the ride. She waits in line with everyone else and when she is done, they send me up the fast pass line (passing everyone) so that I can get on the ride (she then waits in the waiting area). According to most this week is the second best week of the year to go to Disney and we discovered why yesterday; not too hot and the crowds all left so there was no other ride that we needed to use baby swap but we love the concept...especially on those normal busy days. We then took Samantha on Nemo and Friends which she thought was very cool prior to heading over for breakfast. Paige had made reservations for breakfast with the Princesses. We check-in with the host and then they swoop us away to meet Princess Belle. After meeting with her they show you to your table and point you in the direction of the buffet while bringing the hot food directly to your table. While eating the princesses come up to your table to interact, sign autograph books, and take pictures. They finish the breakfast off with a princess parade around the castle which Samantha was just precious in (hi....hi....hi...as she walked from table to table). We said goodbye to the princesses and then were off to enjoy the rest of the day. We took Samantha on the Gran Fiesta Tour boat ride in Mexico (Mexico's version of small world) which was all it took for her to knock out as soon as getting back in her stroller. So now it was time for Mommy and Daddy to get in a couple of rides; we both did Test Track, Daddy did Mission Space (you know you are in trouble when prior to the ride they tell you that the barf bag is located directly in front of you - awesome ride), and a couple others. Then we were off to see all of the countries. Best quote of the day came from a kid talking to his mom, "but mom how far is Germany from here"...I just thought it was priceless. While in United Kingdom we tried to place a call to Grandma but the long distance charges were just crazy. The thing that I really enjoyed was seeing the different Santa Claus versions (from each country). We ran into Pooh and Tigger; Tigger fell over laughing when Samantha showed him how she could "bounce like Tigger". We had our snack in France and dinner in Japan. When it became time to get her pajamas on we headed to the baby center. Samantha fell asleep prior to the fireworks so both Mommy and Daddy got one more ride on test track in prior to heading over for the show. The show at the end was amazing and definitely worth us staying late to see it...can't wait to see what today brings.
