Road Trip!!!

Sometime around 2:00, Paige asked what I thought about taking a trip to the Mall of Georgia tomorrow (again as we are sitting directly across the street from Concord Mills). I laugh and say Road Trip??? She responds...Road Trip. We give grandma and grandpa a quick call to make sure they do not mind watching Abigail and by 6:00 we are on the road heading to Buford Ga. Now part of the reason why we both think this is a good idea...we are trying to plan what we are going to do for vacation this year and we thought this would be a good indication of how she does traveling long distances...that said it is not too far away, we could completely turn around and come home if need be. Paige does not think it will be a good idea to put her on a plane and thus the problem...hard to get to St. Thomas without a plane.

Samantha did great on the road trip and slept just about the whole way there. We get about 30 minutes from the hotel and she wakes up hungry. So a quick detour into Micky D's for ice cream and to feed her before heading the rest of the way to get to the Hampton Inn across the street from Mall of Georgia. This was Samantha's very first hotel visit and although her Dad is not a big fan of staying at hotels...she loved it. That said dad was jealous that she was able to do his life long dream...she took her actual bed with her to the hotel.

Samantha had a very good nights sleep. We woke up and went down to get some breakfast prior to packing everything up to leave the hotel. If you are wondering why we would go all the way to Georgia to go to a mall, they have Paige's favorite department store...H&M...not only did this mall have her favorite store....they also had H&M Baby. When I say this is Paige's favorite store, that is an understatement, anytime we take a trip, she usually does a quick search to see if we can visit a H&M sometime during the trip. While in Vegas we ended up having to go to two of these stores. This was our first time making it to one that had a H&M baby. Prior to shopping we stopped by P. F. Chang's (love the lettuce wraps and shrimp lo mein)and then headed in. While Paige shopped for herself, Samantha and I went for a stroll around the mall. Then we came back for Paige to model all her clothes for us before deciding what she liked. Next was Samantha time and off to H&M baby we went to start picking out clothes for her. They both ended up with a pretty good selection...Dad nothing...that said everyone knows my favorite store is at Concord Mills...so that could wait until we got back.

Earth Day!!!

Saturday...I woke up and headed off to get a haircut. On my way I realized they were having an Earth Day celebration at Stallings Park. I gave Paige a call and she agreed Samantha would enjoy an Earth Day celebration. So off to Stallings Park we went....

We then left the park to head to Babies R' Us as Samantha's conversion kit for her crib was in but ran into Grandma on the way, who was not very happy that Samantha had made it to the park without her...we decided we better stop by and explain.

After visiting Grandma and Grandpa we decided to head off to Babies R' Us which for anyone that does not know, it is located directly across the street from Concord Mills, however Paige looks over and goes hey what do you think about going to the Mall of Georgia tomorrow?

Movie Night!!!

Samantha's Baby Mozart DVD by Baby Einstein is suppose to be for 3+ months but since Samantha is so advanced... :) ....we decided to go ahead and see how she would do with it. She made it till about half way before it started to be over stimulating.
