We had been excited about Tuesday since we booked the Disney cruise, not because of St. Thomas but because of Pirate night which was an experience that we have never been able to enjoy. We arrived in beautiful St. Thomas that morning and our view out the balcony was on the dock side which is nice but nothing like the view on the other side of the ship. We quickly got dressed and headed up for one of my favorite views of the Caribbean. We got a quick breakfast and we were off the ship and getting in the taxi shuttle and heading to the city. St. Thomas is one of our favorite ports but we had heard great things about being on the ship during port days due to everyone being off the ship so we planned St. Thomas to only be a short stay prior to heading back onto the ship. We got back on the ship and headed straight to the pool and daddy even got a couple of rides on the Aquaduck. We had been wanting to play the Detective Agency game and this was a perfect opportunity to do so. You get a detective card and run all over the ship trying to solve a mystery (like the board game "Clue") and the pictures come to life to tell the story. After solving the case we decided to get a quick nap in knowing that it was going to be a long night. Mommy had somehow worked the impossible of getting Samantha into Pirates League on pirate night with a 4:45 appointment which daddy and Samantha were so happy about. Still trying to figure out how she worked that out since I had stayed up till midnight the night the excursions became available to try and book Pirates League only to be told they were sold out. That said she did it and I am not asking any questions; thanks mom! Samantha loved Pirates League although the girl has a little bit too much style and liked her pirate outfit better than the one that was available so she went with just the nails and make up portion of becoming a pirate. It was time to head to dinner and we got to see all the little pirates of the night. There are two shows that they do on pirates night (on the deck); the first was Mickey's Pirates in the Caribbean which somehow we walked out and got on the second row just off to the side. I look behind us and the place is packed yet here we were up close to Mickey and all of his pals. After seeing how crazy it got we decided to find a good seat for the second Pirates in the Caribbean show which included fireworks so we switched sides and found a front row seat and waited it out. The great thing about Disney is they don't have you sit there with nothing to do...we got to watch Peter Pan during the wait and it was worth the wait as the show was one of the coolest things I have ever seen. Fireworks shot right off the ship....incredible night!
