On Saturday daddy woke up and decided to go and walk the beach before getting others out of bed...but before leaving thought I would ask Samantha if she wanted to come with me. She asked for 5 more minutes...so out the door I went. My mom had come down the night before and drove over to spend the day with us on Saturday. It started with a quick breakfast as we knew we would be on the go all day. Samatha was so excited to show Grandma Bern all of her pools. We then headed to the beach to try and get some beach time in before it go too hot. Samantha loved playing on the beach with Grandma Bern but the sun was bright and even with sunscreen on Mommy and Daddy said it was time to head to the inside pools. After hanging around in the lazy river we decided to head upstairs and get ready for lunch.
Now Grandma Bern knows a place where Myrtle sort of stopped in time and shaggers still come from all over the east coast to show their moves. We decided to head to main street to eat lunch and take a look around at the place that made Myrtle Beach famous. Unfortuately all of the rides at the OD Pavilion were closed during the day so after lunch we headed to Broadway at the Beach. A couple years ago the Pavillion closed and they moved alot of the rides from the Pavilion over to Broadway at the Beach. Samantha got to ride on alot of these classics, some of which I remember riding at the Pavilion when I was a kid. Jim met us at Broadway at the Beach prior to heading back to the hotel. Samantha wanted to go swimming in the pool again so we headed down prior to calling it a day. After going upstairs and changing we decided to mix it up and go out for Mexican for dinner. The restaurant was so good but Samantha was pooped by the time we got there and was out for the count. She did wake up just in time to help mommy finish her plate prior to calling it a night and saying goodnight to Grandma Bern and Jim.
