Samantha's First Auto Accident

We were on our way to go spend the night with my Nephew and Niece in Durham so that we could watch Chase's soccer game tomorrow. We left around 6:30 and made it to I-85. We were about to get off the highway at Concord Mills so the baby could get her favorite dinner (Cracker Barrel hashbrown casserole). Traffic backs up on the exit lane and we hit the breaks to avoid hitting the car in front of us. We come to a complete stop. I look up in rear view mirror and realize the guy behind me is not going to be able to do the same. I immediately take one arm over to try and protect Samantha (this Dad stuff is something else).

Mommy and Baby seem to be fine but Samantha is not in a rush to get back on the interstate.

Is it a Boy or Girl???

On Friday we went to the doctor to discover if we were having a little boy or a little girl and were pleased to find out that it is going to be a girl. According to the doctor everything is going well and the baby is fine. Samantha currently weighs in at a total of 9 oz's and is beginning to kick mommy. We were not supposed to be able to take any video of the ultrasound but I think the nurse saw how excited we were for our first child and agreed to let me record the heartbeat, then said ok just a real quick view of the baby. Here is the Samantha's first short film.
