The US had their first game of the 2010 World Cup today and Paige's family are huge soccor fans. I left this morning to go up to the lake to work at the camper a little and then went for a quick boat ride prior to heading back to Charlotte in hopes of making it over to Chad's in time for the game (which worked out perfectly). Chad and Rachel were having the family over for lunch and to watch the game. England got out to an early lead but the US came back strong. The game ended in a tie (1-1) which was good enough to give the US 1 point, hopefully that will be enough to allow them to continue to the next round after their next two games. After the game we had a quick dinner and then told everyone we loved them prior to heading back home. Samantha had so much fun playing with her cousins and refused to take a nap but prior to us even getting out of the neighborhood she was passed out.
