Weekend with Grandma and Grandpa!!!

Grandma JuJu and Grandpa had told us to pick a weekend and they would watch Samantha; for us to head to the lake.  The more and more we thought about it, we decided that we should take a mommy / daddy get-away.  We debated on Savannah, Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Vegas, but decided on Hilton Head Island.  We left Friday morning and headed down.  Grandma and Grandpa picked Samantha up from day care on Friday and then headed to the house.  The Keenan Krew came over as well to do a little fishing.  According to the pictures it looks like everyone had a blast!!!

The Keenan Krew headed home (minus Bryson) and everyone went to sleep.  The next morning Samantha woke up knowing that fun was to be had today.  She requested an outside table for breakfast.  Rumor has it that at some point Grandma (yes Grandma) actually cut up some bananas for Sammie...anyone that has seen Grandma JuJu around bananas knows this must mean that she loves Samantha alot.  Grandma and Grandpa then took Samantha and Bryson to a local park; looking at the pictures Samantha and Bryson have alot of the same facial features (which makes a lot of sense since Bryson was always the one that looked alot like Paige). 

After dropping Bryson off at home they headed out to dinner.  They knew Samantha could eat with the best of them so they decided to head to a new Hibachi Grill Buffet here in Matthews.  Grandpa had Samantha trying lots of new things but it seems she had the most fun comparing tummy's with the golden statue at the door...no I am not sure where she learned that rubbing his belly brings good luck.

 

Below Samantha is showing Grandma how she does her chores at home...we were not quite ready to allow her to get on the John Deere yet, so her chore is to help mommy feed Abigail.  She has yet to ask for an allowance...but we are sure that is only a few years away.

The next morning she woke up ready to go but had no idea what all was in store for her.  First she showed Grandma how she could entertain herself.  She noticed that Minnie's nose needed wiping and was determined to get it.  Then the door's opened up, Great Grandma and Great Grandpa came over and then the Keenan Krew (with two additions) came over to spend some quality time with family.

Samantha's very first movie at the movie theater.  They said she did really well and lasted about 45 minutes prior to deciding that she was done.  All in all we were surprised that she made it even 15 minutes.  Although Paige and I watch alot of TV, Samantha has not really shown alot of interest in it.  Grandma and Grandpa could not have picked a better movie...she loves doggies!!!

All that movie watching has made me thirsty...time to go get an icee...
