Happy Turkey Day!!!
Since we were going to be down for Thanksgiving we decided that we would stay off-site and that way we could still do Thanksgiving day. The tradition is parades, followed by turkey, followed by football, and finished with hot turkey sandwiches. That tradition continued even though down in Florida. We slept in a little and came down and Grandma JuJu had breakfast already on the stove. We turned on the parades and got ready for a relaxing day. Samantha got to help Grandma JuJu with the turkey this year which Samantha was very excited about. Then Sammie and mommy had to make sure all of the decorations were out so they got to work making them. Daddy got the job of peeling the potatoes and taking out the trash. Chad and Rae were coming in town with Kaya due to soccer tournament she has down here this weekend so they said they would come over and have lunch with us. Samantha was so excited to show Kaya her heated pool. Samantha made sure everyone decorated their placemat prior to getting to eat. We learned what everyone was thankful for and we learned Chad takes arts and crafts very seriously, while most just put the leaves on the paper Chad actually drew a tree with even a squirrel. After Chad and Rae left we found an elf on the shelf book and read it only to then find Candy Cane (Samantha later named) hanging out by the stairs. Wish we could have spend it with more family and friends but great Thanksgiving Day.
