Spring Break Cruise - Day 4 - Amber Cove!!!

Day 4 was at Amber Cove which we had never been to before.  We had booked an excursion at Ocean World for a dolphin encounter.  We woke up early morning and headed to Lido deck for breakfast before exploring Amber Cove.  The excursion was not until 9:30 and like Grand Turk, Amber Cove has a private pool area right off the main dock.  We decided to go check it out since we were not going to get to experience it for our next trip out to Amber Cove.  One thing that strikes you as odd when the boat first pulls into Amber Cove is the mountains.  The cabanas were very cool because they had mountain view, pool view, and waterfront view cabana's and honestly I can't decide which I would rather have.  I think I would have to try the water view one's first.  They also offer all day zip-line rides for like $12 at the water park but we did not have time to experience that either on this trip.  After exploring for a little we headed out to do a little shopping at the port shops prior to getting in line for the excursion.  They had really nice buses to take you to Ocean World and I was very impressed with how nice the roads were.  Our tour guide for Ocean World was awesome and took great care of us the entire time we were there.  First up was the Sea Lion show which was incredible and probably Paige's favorite other than our dolphin experience.  Then it was off to the dolphin experience.  You get to get in the water and touch the dolphin as it swims by several times, then the dolphin comes in for a big hug, you get to feed the dolphin, and the dolphin then comes in for a kiss prior to doing a couple tricks.  These were baby dolphins and they were so sweet.  This was definitely the highlight for me, and getting to see Sammie do it for the first time was awesome!  We then went with our group to the shark show, followed by the dolphin show which was incredible before heading to lunch.  It was a lot to fit into a day and you went from show to show without a lot of breaks in between.  That said, we decided to skip the bird show and went for lunch instead.  Around 2:30 it was time to head back to the ship so we got back on our bus and headed back.  I was surprised by how protected the port was with guarded fence and we had to have all cruise room key cards in hand for them to let the bus back into the port.  Once back on ship we went up to take in a couple more views of this wonderful port prior to heading to the Red Frog Pub for a couple drinks.  It was now time to head to room to get ready for dinner.  At dinner our magician friend Burman came back and wow'd us all with his magic trick.  Burman is the man and should truly be in vegas with his magic tricks.  I am still floored by the one he did this night.  It was off to the Brit's show and then to the atrium to hear some music trivia prior to heading to bed.  What a fun day!  Tomorrow another day at Sea...our favorite!!!
