Dreams Sands Resort and Spa - Day 1

Early morning waking up due to our flight was at 7:50 in the morning out of Charlotte.  This was going to be Samantha`s very first flight and she was super excited about it.  As we board the plane and start to head out of the terminal they stop and say they are having computer troubles and are going to have to go back to the terminal.  After an hour delay we were on our way and Samantha absolutely loved the flight.  On the flight we caught up on Alice and Wonderland since the new one is coming out as well as watched a little bit of Pele which daddy is excited about finishing on the way home.  Once we landed in Cancun it was time to go through Customs which takes way too long but we got through it and Samantha loved her stamp that she got on her passport.  It was time to head to the resort; so out the airport we went looking for Best Day Travel which was going to shuttle us to the resort.  We were a little nervous about finding them but as soon as we walked out the airport doors they were there waiting for us and got us in the shuttle heading to the resort.  When we pulled up to the resort we were super impressed and excited to be spending the next couple days here.  The room was not ready but they took our bags and let us know that they would be in the room as soon as the room was ready.  We decided to go check the resort out which included signing mom up for spa tomorrow and heading to eat lunch.  The food was really good and we were excited that until Tuesday we can eat as much as we want (for some reason I feel I have to get my money`s worth).  After lunch we checked out the rest of the resort prior to getting our key and heading up to the room.  The view from our balcony is breath taking (our friend Shane did a good job asking them to take care of us because this view is something else).  After getting stuff put away it was time to put on bathing suits and head to pool and beach.  We had a such a fun day but it was time to head up and get ready for our late dinner which tonight was going to be the Mexican restaurant (seemed appropriate) and boy were we glad we did.  Jorge at the restaurant took good care of us and the Tequila Shrimp was to die for.  After dinner we were just going to walk around and head up to room but we found out they were having Casino Night and kids were allowed so off we went where we won enough money to win a prize at the auction (bottle of liquor and two day passes at spa).  After that it was time to head up and go to bed so we could wake up and have a great day tomorrow.  We are so excited about our next couple days in Cancun.
