Anybody that has been to Disney in July knows it can be crazy hot in Florida in July. Today we slept in a little after our late night last night and then got dressed to go stay cool by the pool. We have really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful resort and its pools. That said my top 3 are still Animal Kingdom Lodge, Polynesian; Wilderness Lodge in that order. Paige had booked a lunch at Sanaa which is at Animal Kingdom Lodge. The Butter Chicken is so good and we thought it would be cool to go see the animals. Sanaa is located where you can actually see giraffe come up to the windows while you eat; pretty cool. As we walk in Samantha has one of the drummers ask her to come and play with her so she gave her lessons on how to play the drums. The animals are absolutely beautiful and it was hard to say goodbye but it was time to go eat. After lunch we walked out to see some more of the animals prior to saying goodbye. After lunch we had planned on playing miniature golf at Fantasia Gardens and we chose the Fairway Greens which is a mini version of real golf (really tough, not your typical mini-golf). After three holes there was lightning so we had to come off the course; we decided to get a rain check and next time we will go back and play the traditional mini-golf course (although I really want to go back and play the fairways course one day). Since it was not raining yet we headed to Disney Springs to get a little shopping in and Disney Springs continues to be renovated; really like what they are doing with it. There was a dance company from Connecticut performing so we stopped to watch a couple of their routines. After Downtown Disney it was time to get some dinner prior to heading back to the resort for one last dip in the pool as we are checking out of the Yacht Club tomorrow. Prior to calling it a night we had to go to the soda shop and celebrate National Ice Cream day and watch some of the fireworks from Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Originally the plan was to check-out and start making the trip back in the morning but instead we are checking out in the morning and heading to one of the waterparks, Blizzard Beach.
