Carowinds!!!

My company had its employee appreciation day today so mommy took Samantha to school today and daddy told her he would pick her up early.  I left around 11:00 to go pick her up and she was so excited we were going to go to Carowinds today.  So first we head to my office to say hey to everyone and to eat pizza prior to heading to Carowinds.  Must be something about my office/work Samantha took a hold of my Blackberry and started walking around the office typing a way.  Mommy left her office around 12:30 to meet us at Carowinds.  As we are walking in Samantha points up at The Intimidator and says daddy that's my favorite I want to ride that one.  We explain that we will have to see if they will let her; sometimes you have to be a certain height to ride roller-coasters.  We try and make it in time for pictures however we arrived just after the pictures had been taken so we headed over to Snoopy Planet to start riding rides.  Samantha loved all the rides but her favorite had to be the roller coaster.  I was worried that she would be a little scared but she absolutely loved it; the worker saw her smiling as they came around the corner and Samantha asked if she could go again to which the lady replied absolutely.  We then headed down to the Charlie Brown show which Samantha got picked out of the crowd to go up on stage and be part of the show.  At 4:00 it was time to meet up with everyone for ice cream prior to going to ride more rides.  Samantha loved the haunted mansion and daddy loved The Intimidator...wow what a fast roller-coaster.  Prior to leaving Samantha asked could she ride "her" roller coaster one more time to which we could not say no.

Bye Bye Pacie!!!

Samantha had pretty much stopped using her pacie except for when going to sleep and when riding in the car.  She would go all day at school but as soon as she got in the car she would check her seat to see if her pacie was there.  If it was not there she would ask where is my pacie.  Two weeks ago on Sunday Samantha mentioned that she was a big girl and did not need her pacie anymore.  I asked her what and she went and picked up her baby and said baby needs pacie daddy but I am a big girl.  I sort of laughed it off but did not think anything of it.  Well when it came time for bed she went up to bed and tried her best to go to sleep.  Now Samantha is someone that has always had no trouble falling asleep and has spoiled us since she was a baby with how easy she falls asleep (definitely takes after her dad on this one).  She then asked for her Pacie and I reminded her that she had said she did not need it.  Now the funny thing is again she has gone all day at school without a pacie (including nap time) since she was one but mentally she wanted that pacie when going to sleep at night.  I finally gave in as she was sad and she actually put the pascie in her mouth; did a funny giggle and four minutes later took the pacie out and sat it beside her as she fell asleep.  After that night she went the whole day the following day without asking for her pacie.  The next day the same thing.  There was one night when we were at the beach she mentioned she wanted her pacie which we responded with you don't need your pacie and since then she has not mentioned it again.  Daddy's little girl as she says is now a big girl!

Time to leave the beach!!!

Sunday morning I woke up and asked Samantha if she wanted to go walk on the beach to which she responded uh huh.  We asked mommy if she wanted to go with us and she responded the way Samantha responded yesterday...5 more minutes.  Off Samantha and I go for a walk on the beach.  Since we were out there we decided to take a couple of shots.  Once we were done we headed up to see if Mommy was up and to eat breakfast.  After breakfast we headed down to do a little more swimming prior to loading up the car and heading back to Charlotte.  As we go back up to start packing the suitcases Samantha walks over with a serious look on her face and says, "daddy can we leave our stuff here"  I respond you want to leave our stuff here with strange look on my face.  She says "yeah it be here when we get back".  I laughed and laughed and said while I love your thought process we better pack just in case.  On the way out we ran into what appeared to be Nemo's Mom and Dad...so a quick hello prior to getting in the car and beginning the journey home.  Samantha fell asleep for her nap prior to even getting out of North Myrtle.
