Daycare Halloween Party!!!

Today Samantha's daycare had their halloween party. Grandma JuJu and Aunt Kelly decided to stop by while they were out having date day. Samatha was so glad that Aunt Kelly and Grandma JuJu came to visit her. She had so much fun and was an absolute trip. Samantha loved trick-or-treating and was the first one at each of the doors with her bag out saying please (her version of trick-or treat). The thing daddy was most proud of was after she was done going to each of the doors to get candy watching her back at her class room. She loved giving the other kids candy. Even in the older kids rooms the teachers were the ones handing out candy but Samantha was determined that she wanted to hand it out and the teachers let their little helper do just that. She is showing that she understands it is better to give than receive....hopefully it is something she continues to understand as she grows older.

Wii Drummer!!!

Tonight after playing in Samantha's playroom, Paige and I decided to go into the game room and play ping-pong (since Samantha has come along we never go into this room and had quite honestly forgot we even had a ping-pong table in there).  While walking around Samantha came across Daddy's Wii Drumset and thought Christmas had come early.  I went down to get the flip camcorder and here is what I found when I got back upstairs.  Mommy has already made me promise no drumset for Christmas.

Samantha's first train ride!!!!

This weekend we headed up to the lake for what will probably be the last trip of the season.  On Saturday, Grandma JuJu and Grandpa headed up to go with Samantha to see the train.  After going to the train museum we headed to Salisbury for lunch and to walk around.  Other pictures from the weekend can be seen on the lake blog (http://www.rileycamping.blogspot.com/) but below is a video of Samantha's very first train ride.

Bath...Bath...Bath

Tonight while Daddy was on the phone with Grandma Bern; Sammie Wammie is at the gate going bath...bath...bath.  So mommy says she is taking her upstairs to take a bath.  Daddy won a new 8GB Flip Camcorder this week so I decided to try it out tonight.  The camera works really good (even though the HD is not the quality of the Sony; quick transfer makes it well worth the picture loss).  When I go upstairs Samantha is in the tub and mommy is painting mommy's toes and it is all that Samantha could think about. 



So we head downstairs after getting dressed and she keeps pointing to her toes and saying toes...toes.  So Mommy goes and gets the red toe polish and Sammie steps into daddy's spa.  Two things proceed to go wrong...first daddy forgets that you need both hands to paint Samantha's toes and two Mommy forgot that she was videotaping vs using a camera.  That said the video was cute and I wanted to capture it on her blog.  She really has daddy wrapped around her little finger.

Off to the Pumpkin Patch!!!

Last year Grandma JuJu missed our trip to the Pumpkin Patch and she has talked all year about us going this year.  The weekend finally came so after getting back from Belmont, we came over to see Sammie who had spent the night with them the night before.  Bryson had come over as he was going to spend the night on Saturday night so he went to the pumpkin patch with us.  Everyone had such a good time!!!
