Sunday, May 16th, Fun day at Sea!!!

Sunday was a fun day at sea so we woke up early to go get a bite to eat and hopefully we would be able to save a good spot by the waterpark.  We get up to the breakfast area and Grandma tells us she has already put their stuff upstairs by the waterpark.  So Paige started getting Samantha's food ready while I took our towels up stairs to save our spot.  After a good breakfast we head upstairs and start playing in the waterpark.  Paige always does a ton of research prior to any of our trips and one of the things that she found out is that some cruise ships can be pretty serious about not allowing swim diapers in their pools and/or water parks, so just in case that happened (Samantha was not allowed in the waterpark) we had a blow-up pool ready to go.  We never had anyone say a word to us about her playing in the waterpark (although we never tried their actual pools) but we had plenty people comment on what a great idea it was.  One parent actually told us a story of where they had gone on a cruise and had been told they could not swim with a swim diaper and she never thought of bringing their own pool (great job as always mom!).  Samantha got tired pretty quickly after all that playing so we let her take a nap (turned the stroller out of the sun), mom got to read her book and lay out while dad went to explore the ship.  When Samantha woke up she started laughing and was ready to go again...then Grandma and Grandpa decided they were 10 again and wanted to go down the slide (to which Samantha though it was the funniest thing).  We headed down stairs for snack and a walk around the ship.  Then it was time for formal night!!!  We got all dressed up and then headed out for pictures.  During the process of having our pictrues made, we ran into FunShip Freddy.  Now I have to tell you the story of Funship Freddy.

Prior to leaving for the cruise Paige had a fear that Samantha may be a little scared of Funship Freddy.  She did not want her to be so we did a search of Funship Freddy on Youtube and found a video of him dancing.  Samantha and mom watched that about 5 times prior to heading on the cruise.  When Samantha ran into Funship Freddy she got so excited.  It is hard for me to explain how excited she was to see FunShip Freddy, this is the child that has been to Disney twice and I have never seen her like this with anything.  On the last day I will post a video that will show her reaction when she saw him but it bascially involved her dancing and smiling as big as physically possible.  She got to the point where she wanted her FunShip Freddy doll everywhere she went.  More to come on that as it became an adventure for us to find Funship Freddy and I can't say enough about whoever it was in that costume.  There was a point where I was afraid they were going to site us for stalking but everytime Funship Freddy saw Samantha, he would act like he was so excited to see her (when really it was her that was excited to see him)...More to come on Funship Freddy...

On the way to dinner we stopped to listen to a band perform outside the Casino...Samantha stole the show and was dancing around in front of the stage.  It was time for dinner so we headed down to get a bit to eat (lobster night...some of us had two...but I'm not telling).  The staff of Carnival loved Samantha and would eat her up everytime they saw her.  You have to remember that some of these people have kids of their own that they are missing while they attempt to make money to send home.  She ate up the attention and as if her head needed to get any larger, she became quite use to people smiling at her and telling her how wonderful she was.

It is a tradition of ours that we started on our second cruise of going outside to take pictures on formal night so we headed out to do just that.  Then we headed to the show which was called Far From Over (80's) and it was by far one of the best shows we have ever seen on a Carnival ship.  They did a really good job and we loved it.

Off to our room to go to bed (Sammie Wammie was already knocked out) and when we walked in we found a bulldog towel waiting for us.  We could not wait for tomorrow...when we woke up we would be in Half Moon Cay...a place we have never been.
