Cruise 2011 - Nassau Bahamas!!!

Today we woke up in Nassau, Bahamas!!!  Yes we started our day by going to the lido deck to get some breakfast of course.  Then we made our way downstairs to leave the ship. We walk to where the taxi's are and ask for a ride to the Sheraton Resort.  Last year we went tp the Atlantis but after doing some research mommy wanted to try something different (especially since there were alot of ships in port today and the Atlantis would probably be busy).  The taxi driver walks us to his car and I go to get in the passenger door and turns out that is the drivers seat...oops.  So after getting embarrased by that I walk to the true passenger seat but this time get in the back and hold Samantha.  Yeah there are no car seats in the Bahamian taxi's so Samantha is in my lap.  I asked if that was ok and just got yeah mon no problem.  Paige and I got a kick out Samantha when the taxi driver beeped his horn at someone and Samantha thought it was funny and laughed, looked at daddy and said beep beep and laughed again.  He dropped us off and we went in to get a day pass for the resort.  The resort was beautiful and so peaceful.  Mommy told us before we could go to the pool she was getting a Starbucks...yeah the resort had a Starbucks.  I have to go a week without a real Mountain Dew but Mommy has no problem finding a Tall Pepermint Mocha with no Whip.  The thing I like about the resorts over there is how they do their pools.  They make little coves in the pools so that everyone feels like you have your own private oasis as opposed to 25 people in a large pool.  Samantha wanted to swim in each one of the little coves so Daddy and her went on an adventure to try them all out and let mommy concentrate on her Nook Color.  After we were exhausted from all the swimming we all headed over to the pool bar/grill.  After lunch Samantha took her nap and daddy went to go down the slide and then to videotape different sections of the resort (need to see video at bottom to see around the resort).  Unfortuatly they had all the tables at the casino closed (only slots) so no gambling for daddy.  After Samantha woke up, instead of getting wet again in the pools we decided to walk around the shops of the resort prior to heading back to the ship and going swimming on the waterworks of the ship.  Paige had read about the bus system prior to us heading out there but I was not really sure I wanted to get on the local bus but the taxi driver also suggested that we ride Jitney #10 back to the ships when we were done as there was a bus stop just outside the resort.  We decided that we would do it on the way back.  Samantha thought it was so cool and we sang the wheels on the bus go round and round just about the whole way back to the ship.  The locals were eating up her dimple and she was charming the heck out of them.  As we get out of the bus Samantha tells mommy that she wants a "BOB MARLEY" shirt...for those that do not know my daughters favorite song is three little birds by Bob Marley (and mommy sometimes wears a Bob Marley shirt to bed).  Her song had gotten played a couple times on the ship and each time she would look up and go "BOB MARLEY...this my favorite song."  After going in about four stores we could not find a 2T Bob shirt so we told her we would have to order one when we got back home.  In the market we do find a Tinkerbell purse which she fell in love with.  After getting that we headed back on the ship.  We decided to go play on the waterpark for a litte prior to going to dinner since we had not had a chance to do it the last sea day due to wind.  Time to head downstairs and get ready for dinner.  After dinner we walked around piror to calling it a night as we were all exhauted.  Tommorow Fun Day at Sea!!!
