Epcot w/ eating with the Princesses
We woke up early on Thursday and got ready as mom had a fun filled day planned for us. First we stoped by McDonald's and then we had to run over to Animal Kingdom Lodge to check in and get all of our tickets. Animal Kingdom Lodge was beautiful and we are so excited to stay there. That said we did not have time to go check out our room so after checking in and looking around we headed off to the park. Today's park is Epcot. We arrived early enough to get first row parking which Paige always laughs at me for getting excited about. As we enter the park we make a b-line for Soarin' (the most beautiful ride I have ever been on) and Grandma JuJu thought it was so nice that she actually rode it twice. At 11:30 mommy handed Samantha a letter but she could not read it so she ran to JuJu and asked her to read it for her; it announced that the princesses had invited us to lunch. Samantha and Grandma were both so excited. The meal was great but what makes this meal special is that princesses actually come up to your table and interact with you. Mommy was so excited that Jasmine was there (you really do not know which princesses are going to make it to the Royal lunch until you get there and you have to plan and register for this so far in advance). We had done the royal meals in the past but what was special about this one is Snow White took a special interest in Samantha, giving her a kiss before she left the table and then when it was time for the Royal Parade coming and finding Samantha and holding her hand for the entire parade. We got a very special treat at the end of the meal as all of the princesses had come together and signed an anniversary card for Grandma JuJu and Grandpa (41 years). When we got to England we heard a scattered thunderstorm approaching but the great thing about disney is everyone throws on a jacket or a poncho and just continues to have a great time. We never got alot of ran and it would come and go and actually was nice because it made it a very comfortable day (not hot). We decided that maybe we do not let Samantha play in the rain enough as she absolutely loved it; she put on her jacket; got out her umbrella and went out in the street to dance and sing. This is Samantha's 5th trip to disney and it amazes me that we find something different to do each time and as she gets older it is like a new trip each time. For this epcot adventure Mommy had personally made her a passport book for her to get stamps in each country and have the local resident there write a note (usually hello) in that country's native language. All of the cast members were so impressed with her book and I can't tell you how many people came up and asked where she had bought the book and how they loved the idea. We ate dinner and walked around to the different countries prior to getting ready for the night fireworks show. We knew there was a chance of rain so we found a seat at an outdoor seating restaurant with cover overhead and sat down for a late snack and fireworks show. Since we were probably an hour away from the show daddy headed out for a couple of last minute rides (Test Track and Mission Space). The show was absolutely beautiful and we were all in awe. We said goodbye to Epcot and headed to Animal Kingdom Lodge to finally see our room. Samantha fell asleep on the ride home and the resort and room was absolutely beautiful. Somehow mommy got us a room overlooking the pool and it is absolutely beautiful looking out. Last night while walking to get ice I look out my window and see 3 Greater Kudu outside just playing. We came back and went to bed excited to see what Mommy has planned for us!!!
