Samantha's day care had a teacher work day today and my office was closed so last night Samantha and I started thinking of what we were going to do with our day. There was a chance of rain but we still wanted to get out of the house and do something fun. We decided that we would head up to Mooresville with the hopes of going to Lazy 5 Ranch. If it started raining we would just go to plan B. We get up there and ask if they have any wagon rides going out today and the nice women behind the counter says yes all day do you have a reservation? Really a reservation to ride the wagon on a Monday (we probably could have used mommy to figure that one out for us)...seems we will be going in my truck...great!!! Samantha is so excited but prior to going out to see the animals we do all of the outside (the car) things; in case it does start raining we can still do the drive thru stuff in the rain. We were able to view some animals in their pens which Samantha loved! Then onto the slide --which was huge and I am still not sure how Samantha climbed up to the top but she was determined that she was going to do it. Next, it was time to get in the car and go on the safari to see even more animals. These animals are crazy and will come right up to your car to eat and if you have any food in sight they will stick their head in for a little bite. Samantha loved it and would throw food out the window; drop down in her seat and use a baby wipe to clean her hands and then throw another hand full out the window. Somehow as we were getting close to the end Samantha falls asleep while in the front seat; with no seat belt on. Once done with the drive thru safari I switch her back to her car seat and we head home. Once we get back in Charlotte she decides that she wants to eat at Chick-fa-la and then go bowling so off we go. Prior to heading home we had to swing by the car wash to wash the animal saliva off my truck. What a great day and when we got home we were both exhausted from having so much fun!!!
