Samantha started sitting herself up on the 17th of October but I had not had a chance to catch it on video. It was very random...we would lay her down and walk into the kitchen and turn around and she would be sitting up playing. She would only do it when she wanted to and she was very quick when she decided she would like to sit up as opposed to laying down.
On Tuesday night Samantha started running a fever of around 102 and we decided to take her to the doctor on Wednesday morning (Samantha's first fever). We were sure that she had another ear infection as she had been pulling on her ear but when Dr. Young looked in her ear she said her ears looked great (yea! we did a good job with the antiobotic, but what was causing the fever?). Then she looked at her throat and let us know that she had tonsillitis. Samantha did not get to go to daycare on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday due to her being contagious. Paige is the best mom to Samantha and really took good care of her while Samantha was not feeling good. Her tempature got as high as 104.6 but this morning it finally broke and when we woke up (without taking medicine yet) she had a 98.6.
Grandma JuJu came over and watched Samantha today so Paige and I could finally get out of the house a little. When we got home we decided to take a quick video of Samantha sitting her self up. She has pulled herself to stand-up position a couple of times but we have not caught that on video yet. Usually it ends after about 5 seconds with a crash to the floor but she laughs and laughs each and every time.
